2011 World Cup First Match When KOHLI and SEHWAG Done BANG BANG

Do u remember the special moment when Bangladesh selected to field at the Shere-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. The decision was prompted by the fact that the 12 prevous matches at the same venue were won by the team who is batting second. But then, everything goes wrong and we know the WHAT result came out. Sehwag looked at comfort, while both Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir gone out when looking they are set, Kohli justified the faith that the Indian selectors & team management had shown in him by joining Sehwag for a double century  for the 3rd wicket that put the match out of Bangladesh’s reach.

India was powered to a score 370 for 4, the 203-run stand that Kohli and Sehwag put on in only145 balls. Sehwag farmed the strike initially, allowing Kohli to settle down, but once the younger man found angry , he matched with senior partner SEHWAG shot for shot.

While Sehwag fell in the 48th over looking that he will play till 50th over, Kohli had to wait till the last ball to get to his century, taking a mere 83 balls to do so. In the process he cemented his spot in the line-up for the tournament and also got his World Cup career off to a rollicking start.
